Seraphine de Senlis (1864-1942)

turn of the century French "naive," or "visionary" artist.  she never went to school.  she was slightly psychotic.  she died in a psychiatric asylum.

there is a movie, starring Yolande Moreau, about Seraphine de Senlis. exquisite.
